Happy 102!

We went to La Grange to help Mom celebrate her 102nd birthday. It was a little quieter than her 100th, but she still had a good time. And she is doing wonderfully. She always has her positive attitude. We had a great time eating, working on crossword puzzles, eating, eating, etc. It was hard to leave her alone again.

Little did we know that there was a huge gala affair the night before her birthday. It was a $150 per plate dinner. We thought that was extremely nice of PP to throw such a party for our mother, but we later found out it was to celebrate the end of construction. The "new" Plymouth Place is beautiful, but it still has the look and feel of the old. Julie calls it Plymouth Place on steroids. That sounds about right as you can see.

Happy Birthday Kalob Steven

Kalob was born March 24, 2008 at 6:20 in the morning. He weighed 8 pounds 9 ounces and was 21 inches. Both Melinda and Kalob are doing fine - and, thankfully, so are Roger and Jeanette.

Does he look a little mischievious?

Redfish Lake at Stanley, Idaho

We spend the weekend up in Stanley Idaho. I think you will agree that there are some very picturesque sights.

Tia is taking in the sights overlooking Redfish Lake.

Alexis in Boise

Here's a shot of Alexis that Jeanette took on her cell phone. Now it is prominently displayed as her background. Pretty cute. Hopefully I'll get a bunch more photos of the Duekers', Linda, and M&M visit on our blog in a few days. We'll see how well I do.

Finished!

Well the bathroom remodel is finished and we think it looks pretty good. What did we do? We removed the old wallpaper, textured the walls and ceiling and painted. Then we ripped out the vinyl flooring and subfloor and laid new subflooring and the ceramic tiles. After that we put up a new framed mirror, towel rack and shelf above the toilet.

Like the pattern on the floor?

Now, maybe Jeanette will let me rest?

Work In Progress

We are in the process of remodeling our upstairs bathroom. Too bad we don't have a "before" picture, but this is the "during" photo.
